blogsaic
ripped from their pages: Blogsaic is just a word we made up, but essentially a blogsaic is a mosaic of images that link back to your blog. Tiles are created from images or avitars you upload that reflect the personality or topic of the blog. The link for your tile is not strictly limited to just blogs, essentially tiles can link to any URL you wish...such as myspace.com/yourprofile, flickr, yahoo, del.icio.us etc etc
lynxdir
not sure where i found this ... or who to give credit to for this link. however, i did find the next link on this directory - which in my book makes this a very interesting directory. basically, i have found several pages and sites that i would not have found otherwise. people have bailed on directories in many ways (as far as buzz and new goes) but it's a type of web service waiting to be developed and taken to the next level (or many next levels)...

your gmail is now a functional hard drive for files online ... with a growing amount of space.
queryster blog surfboard
i have blogged about
this in the past ... so it's a repeat of an interesting idea. many visitors come to my blog from the native "
next blog" link in blogger. a certain number of people who view blogs apparently are drawn to the random and new discovery of blogs via such "mystery links" and click them daily. here is an example of
the queryster blog surfboard in action
hint: see the little surfboard on the page ... click on the right or left of the board - ya'll come back now ya hear! and i claim no responsibility for what you might or might not find while surfing on the board.btw, this ties in a bit with a bloke ... guy ... blogger ... that i am having a conversation with by way of the next link... (more on how that ties in after the next link)...
my bloglog buzz
yep, that's my own "my bloglog buzz" member page ... you'll notice on the right sidebar of
mostbloggers isp blog (as opposed to the left one :-0) a bit about yesterday's top 5 links and recent readers - that all comes from mybloglog.com.
here's my community page from there (growing like gangbusters).
anyway, click the main link above here and you can see the conversation between the fella from the next link and follow it there. basically, we're chatting about the best way (in our opinions) to share links among other bloggers. so far, i am way behind on the topic ... and this guy is way ahead of me on the best ways to share what he terms, "link love" ... the basic curtesy of reciprocity that should come natural to bloggers ... but doesn't.
i promise i'll get into how this conversation ties in with the blog surfboard after the next link ... stringing you along am i? no, just full of turkey from thanksgiving and therefore a bit loopy... yeah, it's the turkey and the tryptophan (sp???) anyway, in this conversation i am way behind in the learning curve on the best rule of thumb in sharing "link love" among bloggers ... but then again, look at who i am chatting with? his blog is about blogging and one of the best (maybe the best) i have found on the ins and outs of the topic todate. no wonder he is called:
instabloke
and his blog is about blogging. dang good as i have said, not in so few words, above. this bloke apparently knows a thing or two about blogs :-) and about "
link love" and stuff like that...
my freely offered idea for a new slogan or maxim for this guy is:
if it ain't bloke, don't fix it!
blog surfboard + link lovebasically, without too much verbage on my part, one could make a fairly simple frame (like the frame of the blog surfboard) and feature the blogs in their blog roll or the links of their blogging friends as the rotation for what would become "a blog ring" of sorts. this would help a group of blog friends, a blogging community (such as the ones at mybloglog), a circle of niched blogs, etc., to appeal to those readers who seem to be drawn to the next blog link.
note: i simply found it funny that the number one click on the instabloke's (or blog bloke) my bloglog (as of this writing) is... taaaa daaaaa!! the "
next blog" link. did u click it?
here endeth my gathering of links....
