the non-starter, beef, spamlet, cheese cracker and strobe light
tonight i thought it might be fun to just write a title for my blog - and then fill in the gaps with whatever comes to mind or whim... so let us sally forth (is that how you spell that? i think no).
the non-starter
i suppose my who Y311 post was a non-starter, and my post about ANSmith and her sad death (sorry to all of those who keep finding that post as a top result in searches - i was just a bit frustrated when i wrote it and my sense of humor/satire is a bit rough at the edges from time to time) ... anyway, it surely was a non-starter too.
maybe a few things you might not have seen on the internet before - well maybe? like non-starter found on this search and that search and this little search over here.

what can i say about beef? one can have a beef with something or someone and yet there are some who simply have a beef with beef. yet? what is the origin or etymology of the word "beef" i mean where does it come from? i don't know - do you? "..., beef is cognate with the modern French bœuf, meaning cow." who knew? and who knew there was such a term as "bully beef" - i didn't and i still am uncertain as to what it means - boiled beef maybe? but how does one use the term? "i so dislike that bully beef headed goon." which begs the whole question of the origin of the word "goon" probably not PC and probably something i'll just leave unanswered (comment answers welcomed).

seriously, i just made the term up - and we'll turn to the almight oprah of search engines: google for that question: "does the phrase "spamlet" already exist and does it already have a meaning?" if not? what great meaning(s) can we give to such a rich and glorious phrase?
well, after googling the term - i am somewhat non-plused - even a bit sorry to have brought or thought it up (obviously not originally) - what a waste of a good word. to me, it would either mean a "small insignificant piece of processed meat" or "a form of comment spam using under 10 words" - now that's what i'd call a spamlet.
cheese cracker
definition: a term of ancient origin, the village champion of breaking cheesewheels in yearly festivals marked by feats of strenght and endurance and of course the celebration of cheese. an honorific title.
now, let's see if that makes it to answers.com or elsewhere - thus cementing the power of moi to have a voice in this world concerning meaningless matters.

i am sitting here at 11:30-ish on march 10, 2007 - just a little bit before the brilliant idea of doing daylight savings time early comes into effect. the smirk on my face is this rather odd thought of the Y2K scare of everything going bezerk and the world coming apart on new years day when all the computers would surely fail and bring the world to its knees.
why the smirk? i don't know, just a combination of silly thoughts - unconfirmed and born out of my imagination.
i wonder if part of the reasoning behind getting people to do more in daylight hours has something to do with global warming hysteria?
anyway, i doubt any of this will happen ...

sorry, no hockey in this post - so i suppose it's the swarm
yes, i happen to use one of the older - more trusted traffic generators out there:
why? because it works - and it's kinda easy to use. instead of the rotating pages of most traffic sites - you get a pages with 8 ads and links on them - giving you anywhere from 1 to 5 credits per click (then there's the 50 and 200 credit easter eggs hidden along the way).
i find that blogs and non-typical (ie. not money making scheme sites) sites do quite well on getting clicks and/or conversions on trafficswarm.
a wee little secret - if you're a blogger - or use one of the many blog or other traffic sites out there - you can advertize blogmad or blogexplosion (or whatever) and build a pretty sweet downline and more readers.
i'll be brutally honest. i just signed up for these things to write a blog post or an article or two about traffic generation - and now a year later i am still using and getting traffic from trafficswarm. plus, i don't use it only for this blog - but for new sites i build or help others with.
50353 hits from trafficswarm - not too bad for a few clicks here and there.
no mention of hockey is made in this post ... well two maybe :-) but really nothing more. try this: hockey you'll like it... and if you wanna see the cool interface of keotag then go to keotag and enter the search term hockey. you will be pleased with the results.
