Indie Music Genre's on Project Opus

i am about to play a game ... in a few upcoming posts - and follow the genre list from my favorite indie music site project opus.

in the past, i have been really huge into search engines and interfaces on this blog - but for now i am going to look try to use some different searches and try to discover some of the hot sites (known or little known or unknown) in each of these music genres listed above.

speaking of the word, "genre," my bud chris carder is a top 5 finalist for the momentum awards.


Remember...Voting will END on MARCH 1, 2008!

the person who wrote the copy for that press release used the word, "genera" for genre. it's a proper use of the word ... just interesting spelling choice. is it some google trick? or just have i been wrong all along? or is it just one person's quirky word choice? who knows. googling it now. i don't get it?

anyway. that's the head's up -

my first upcoming post should try to search out five genres (genre genera let's call the whole thing off):

  1. Acid Jazz (16)
  2. Acoustic (425)
  3. Alternative (729)
  4. Ambient (194)
  5. Big Band (8)

it will either be fun ... or ... awww, it's gotta be fun.
