cool pic of larry
so, i've spent time doing the youtube viewing of the latest larry norman vids out there ... lots of cool ones too ... some fan tributes - not all of them technically beautiful - but that's what a fan vid is ... humanized and excellent for that very reason. some are pretty tight - and that's excellent too.which one to post?
that's a hard one - but i found this one made in Indy USA of larry doing "If I Were a Singer" - the one he wrote with Steve Camp (or for Steve Camp - it matters not). this was just after 911 in 2001 - and the song is fitting in many ways to those moments - the old tough faced larry delivery is on this tune as well. there's a baby crying in the background. that should have been irritating - however, if you follow the lyrics, "... these are troubled days, I want to live my life in a special way...." well, IMHO the crying baby fits the whole tenor of the tune.
